Best Access Doors Aluminum Smoke Vent BA-ASV
Best Access Doors‚ proudly present our industry favorite, the Aluminum Smoke Vent, BA-ASV model offering a quick and easy solution for your access needs!
This BA-ASV Aluminum Smoke Vent has easily become one of the most popular amongst construction professionals as it is manufactured from 16 gauge cold rolled steel and equipped with a hidden pin hinge. A continuous piano type is provided on doors over 24" in height or width to prevent sagging and warping of the panel itself.
The BA-ASV Aluminum Smoke Vent is an aluminum door and frame that also features stainless steel hinges and hardware. The door is a 1/4” aluminum diamond plate reinforced which can handle up to 300 lbs./sq. ft. It has an angle frame with an integral 1” anchor flange. The BA-ASV features a tamperproof stainless-steel bolts and nuts. There is an optional bituminous coating that can be applied to the exterior frame.
On top of its various features, this BA-ASV model can contribute directly to a project's ability to achieve LEED certification in new construction and major renovations, schools, and commercial interiors. It is an aluminum door and frame with stainless steel hinge and hardware.

Specifications:
- Cover: Double-skin construction (“in box type design”) with 1" cellulose insulation and a continuous EPDM foam weather/draft seal gasket that is attached to the inside of live load of 40lbs./sq. ft., the cover is 1/8" thick aluminum with a 20 gauge aluminum inside liner.
- Curb: 1/8" Aluminum with 1" thick fiberboard roof insulation at curb exterior. Curb is 12" high, with 3.375" wide bottom flange and pre-drilled mounting holes.
- Hinge: Heavy duty galvanized steel / aluminum pintle hinges with 3/8" pin
- Hinge: Aluminum pintle hinges with 3/8" pin
- Opening: Gas spring operators allow cover to open and close with ease. Inside and outside release allows for manual lid operation.
